Hey Cardinals! We are the Women’s Youth Writing Association (WYWA), dedicated to empowering young girls and female minorities through the power of writing. At WYWA, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, join a welcoming community, and develop the qualities that define a successful writer. You'll also gain hands-on experience in writing, publishing, and marketing a book. In the fall, our members will engage in team-building activities, focus on drafting their work, and volunteer at women’s shelters. In the spring, we will complete the final revisions and proceed with the publication of our book. The profits from book sales and fundraisers will be used to create care baskets, which will include complimentary copies of our book, and these will be distributed to women’s shelters—focusing on mothers with daughters. No prior experience is necessary—we are an inclusive organization and encourage ALL GENDERS who support women’s empowerment to join us. We meet in room 217B every other Wednesday from 4-5 PM. We look forward to welcoming you to WYWA!
